Board of Directors
D.H. Cuddy
Chairman
In 1951 when Cuddy succeeded his father as president of the bank, most Anchorage business leaders believed he was among the youngest bank presidents in the country. Today the Anchorage High School and Stanford University graduate and attorney steers a course for First National that places it as a leader among Alaska banks, and one of the safest, and most financially strong banks in the nation.
Betsy Lawer
Vice Chair
As a third generation Alaskan banker, Lawer grew up with many of Alaska's business and community leaders. She learned the banking business literally at her father's knee, earned her degree from Duke University, and returned to work her way up to the leadership position she holds today.

He sits on the National Association of Water Companies board of directors and was named the 2000 Business Leader of the Year by the UAF School of Management's Associated Students of Business.

Johnson worked her way up to become one of Alaska's most prominent business leaders. Active in Alaska's business, civic and political circles, she is a strong advocate for substance abuse prevention and rehabilitation programs. She was the first woman to serve as president of the Alaska State Chamber of Commerce and, in 1993, became the first woman elected mayor of Cordova.

Klopfer, a lifelong Alaskan, is co-owner of the Snow Goose Restaurant in Anchorage and an active member in the local business community. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, a Master of Business Administration in Finance and has extensive experience in investment management. Before joining the bank's board Klopfer worked for the investment firms, McMorgan and Company and the Alaska Permanent Capital Management Company as a senior vice president.

An Alaskan since age 10, Lounsbury received his degree in Civil Engineering from Oregon State University. Returning to Alaska in the late 1950s, he foresaw the coming economic boom in the new state and opened his own engineering and survey firm. A First National board member since 1976, he has served on the boards of numerous Alaska non-profit agencies.
Morton V. Plumb Jr.

A career in the Air Force led Plumb to hold many prominent positions within the field of aviation. Plumb served as director of the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport until 2008. He participates in several local economic advisory groups. Among his many services to Alaska, Plumb was responsible for directing the Department of Defense's military support in the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill. In 2006, Plumb was awarded the Robert B.
