After 20 years in the retail industry, Siri Hill was shopping for something new for her career. By the time Hill started at First National in 2005, she had experience in both banking and retail sales.
“In some ways, the banking industry has become a sales industry. There are so many banks in Anchorage offering similar services that we are competing for the same customers,” said Hill. “What we have to offer that sets us apart from the competition is our people. We’re Alaskans. We know how businesses succeed in Alaska. As a team, this knowledge, experience and follow through makes a difference for our customers and they keep coming back.” Hill spent nearly 20 years working for a national retailer. After climbing the ladder from a stock person all the way to a buyer/manager she decided it was time for a change and pursued a banking career in 2001. Hill spent time as a sales assistant in a bank investment department prior to coming to First National. When she started here in 2005, she began in the management trainee program and was soon promoted to loan officer in the Corporate Lending Division.
“I have the opportunity to work with talented people at First National. It’s a team effort to make sure customers and employees have the tools they need to succeed.”
Hill works in all types of lending, including the bank’s Business Manager® and MedCashManager® cash management systems.
