Diana Morlan

Diana Morlan’s banking history dates back more than 20 years to her high school days. She was part of a group of students participating in an on-the-job training program, where she was chosen to work for a local bank in her hometown of Bemidji, Minnesota. And the banking thing just kind of stuck.

Morlan continued her banking career when she moved to Fairbanks. After 11 years working in the industry in Fairbanks and two more in Oregon, Morlan decided to pursue other ventures. But her heart was still in banking, so in 2000 she came to the Cash Management section at First National, ready for the challenge of a new banking position.

“It was intriguing to learn about all the things that had changed in the banking world in the four years that I was gone.”

Morlan dove right in and learned not just the new features of banking, but the ins and outs of cash management services, all while enjoying the chance to talk with Alaskans at their businesses.

“I like working with customers to help them streamline their business with services we offer.”

One of the newest services offered by Cash Management is Positive Pay. Morlan says Positive Pay is great for any business because it protects them against fraud, a problem that strikes large and small businesses alike.

“You don’t want to wait until fraud happens to your business because it could be too late.”

When she’s not helping customers simplify the management of their business finances and protect themselves against potential fraud, Morlan says she enjoys spending time working on projects at home in the winter and spending as much time outside in the summer, especially watching her sons play baseball and softball.
