Biography

Even for the most experienced homebuyer, purchasing or refinancing a home can be intimidating. That’s why it’s so important to work with someone you trust to help guide the process. Karrie Youngblood understands the importance of the trust her customers place in her, and she doesn’t take that responsibility lightly. In 2012, Karrie’s contributions to her community were recognized by the Kachemak Bay Realtors Association. The organization named her its “affiliate of the year.”

A self-described “military brat,” Karrie first came to Alaska with her husband, who was stationed at Elmendorf Air Force Base. During that time, the couple discovered and fell in love with Homer. That was nearly 20 years ago. Following his retirement, they decided to make Homer their permanent residence.

Karrie says “It’s a privilege to come to work in such a beautiful setting. I love my community.” She believes in the importance of giving back as well; serving on the Board of the South Peninsula Haven House, which provides shelter and support for people impacted by domestic violence. She is also an active member of both the Rotary and Lion’s clubs. Karrie is an experienced quilter, and often donates her pieces to charity.

When she is not serving her First National customers or her community, Karrie can be found cruising the streets of Homer on her Harley-Davidson.
