Biography

Monica Barton’s enthusiasm for helping prospective homeowners achieve their ambitions is evident during the first meeting with her. She describes the mortgage process as “exciting” and derives great satisfaction from serving her customers. Although she works in the fastest-growing region in Alaska—the Matanuska Valley—she loves the hometown feel of her community, and that she’s able to keep in touch with her customers long after the deal is closed.

She has worked in the banking and financing industry for many years, but says that mortgage lending has been her favorite niche by far. “It sounds cliché but it truly is fulfilling to help customers to achieve their home ownership dreams.”

When Monica is not helping fellow Alaskans refinance or closing a deal on their new home, she is active with her church and busy raising twin teenage girls with her husband. She jokes that she’ll start dating her husband and discovering her hobbies next year when the girls go away to college.
