Karen Hoeft named Glennallen Branch Manager

First National Bank Alaska’s Board of Directors recently announced the appointment of Karen Hoeft as Glennallen Branch Manager. She will be responsible for business development, closing loans, branch operations and customer service at the Glennallen Branch.

Hoeft is equipped and ready to take on the responsibilities, she says, as she held the Glennallen Branch Manager position from 2007 until 2013.

“I’m excited to once again continue the bank’s hard-earned tradition of helping Alaskans succeed as Glennallen’s Branch Manager,” said Hoeft.

A financial expert with more than eight years’ experience at the bank, Hoeft originally retired in 2013, only to come back in 2018 as the Operations Supervisor at First National’s Valdez Branch.

Her years of experience coaching and mentoring her fellow bankers will directly benefit First National’s customers on a daily basis.

“First National has been an integral part of the local Glennallen community for so many years. Our customers come in to the branch for so much more than banking,” said Hoeft. “Whatever they need, my dedicated team and I are here to help.”

Alaskan-owned and -operated since 1922, First National proudly meets the financial needs of Alaskans with ATMs and branches in 18 communities throughout the state, and by providing banking services to meet their needs across the nation and around the world. In 2018, Alaska Business readers voted the bank the “Best of Alaska Business” in the Best Place to Work category for the third year in a row and as best Corporate Citizen for the second, and American Banker recognized First National as a “Best Bank to Work For.” In January 2018, MSN.com named First National the most admired company in the state. In October 2018, First National received the Rita Sholton Large Business of the Year Award from the Alaska Chamber.
