Josh Lowman -Branch Manager

Branch Manager

Eastchester Branch, Anchorage

Part of what makes Josh Lowman a trusted banker is an ability to see and appreciate the artistry of sound financial health, and just about everything else in his life.

“The arts are an essential part of every community,” Lowman said. “I like to think what I’ve learned from my love of filmmaking and the theater helps me in my day-to-day operations at the bank.”

Lowman’s banking career spans more than a dozen years and he’s been First National Bank Alaska’s Eastchester Branch Manager since early 2010. He’s worked in mortgage lending, consumer and business banking and branch operations.

Lowman grew up studying film and art and has a passion for independent filmmaking. He began acting more than 30 years ago and became a member of the Screens Actors Guild in 1983.

Marriage and family brought Lowman to Alaska where he now serves as treasurer and sits on the board of the Alaska Film Forum, a group that promotes independent local films. He also is the programming director for the 2012 Anchorage International Film Festival and a regular volunteer at Anchorage’s Out North Contemporary Art House.

Working with business and consumer customers at the branch in these ever-changing technological times motivates Lowman from day-to-day, moment-to-moment. For instance, First National’s recently enhanced suite of online banking services has dramatically improved access to account information and other features.

“We’ve made it easier for our customers and I think the enhancements have really helped our business customers stay up to date with their finances,” he said.

Lowman’s passion for his customers is no act and isn’t about to change. Consider the Eastchester Branch his stage and a place he’s always willing to perform at his best.
