Melissa Reiser grew up in Anchorage's Muldoon area.
But as a child of military parents, she was destined for a mobile future.
So as a young career woman married to an Army officer, she knew she had to adapt, overcome and improvise in order to successfully transfer to and from severaldiverse locations across the United States each with its unique local economy. Reiser gained abroad perspective on lending situations throughout the nation.
"The experience I gained from working with professionals in all parts of the country prepared me for the variety of business challenges Alaskans face," Reiser said.
With a bachelor's degree in finance earned in 1997, Reiser started her professional career in New Mexico. She has been a lender in New York, Alabama, Fairbanks, and Texas. She has gained expertise in Small Business Association lending, land development and construction loans.
Most recently, she has been afforded the opportunity to pursue her passion as First National Bank Alaska'shealthcare-industry banking specialist.
"In order to be an effective banker for the healthcare community, adding value to my clients' practices is essential," Reiser said. "I have the needed experience andfirst-hand knowledge of emerging trends and regulatory change affecting the medical industry, and I always offer solutions.

Reiser is an active member of the Alaska Medical Group Management Association and has gained recognition in the local medical community as a financial expert. She has attended national medical conferences and maintains strong relationships with many people at Alaska's local practices.
As an Anchorage Chamber of Commerce board member, Reiser is in constant contact with Alaskans from all walks of life. She also maintains her active membership in Anchorage South Rotary and the Association of the United States Army.
