David Byrne

Corporate Loan Officer

Alaskan David Byrne was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. For a brief period in his youth Byrne found himself living in Washington State. Yet despite the distance, Byrnes passion for Alaska never allowed him to stay away long. He spent his summers and spring breaks in Alaska until he could move back to his home state. A graduate of the University of Alaska Anchorage, Byrne has lived and worked all across Alaska in places like Bethel, Dillingham, Kodiak and Petersburg. Before entering the banking business, he managed a fly-fishing lodge and worked as a full-time fishing guide. Upon his return from rural Alaska, Byrne completed a banking management trainee program and through a series of impressive promotions over the last eight years, has persistently worked his way up the banking ladder. He currently works in Anchorage, in corporate lending as a loan officer, where he meets with Alaska business owners to help them with their lending needs. Byrne remains an active outdoorsman and spends his weekends hunting, fishing and snow machining all across Southcentral Alaska. As a loan officer Byrne says he enjoys creating opportunities for Alaskans and that it feels good helping people to achieve their lifelong financial goals. According to Byrne the greatest thing about working for an Alaskan owned and operated bank is witnessing first hand the positive impact on his community and neighbors. As an Alaska banker, Byrne has the ability to make fast decisions right here in Anchorage. He did just that when the employees at RSA Engineering contacted him. They wanted a commercial loan to facilitate the buyout of one of their retiring stockholders. In order to keep the local engineering firm an employee owned corporation, Byrne helped RSA employees choose a loan that was right for their needs and offered them the added bonus of Employer Advantage Checking accounts. Whether its finding his way upstream or helping customers navigate the in and outs of business loans, Byrne is the Alaska banker who can help get your business booming or your freezer stocked with fish.
