First National Bank Alaska declares special dividend

 (ANCHORAGE) At the Board of Directors Meeting held July 30, 2020, First National Bank Alaska (OTCQX:FBAK) declared a special cash dividend of $3.20 per share, payable on October 15, 2020, to shareholders of record as of October 1, 2020.

 “In the face of potential financial stress caused by the ongoing pandemic, we are pleased to reward our shareholders with a special dividend that may be of assistance to them,” said Chair and CEO Betsy Lawer. “The bank’s continued strong performance and robust capital position allows us to distribute nearly $11 million that may help stimulate the economy during these difficult times.”

 The Board of Directors declared the special dividend in addition to the bank’s regular quarterly dividend. First National Bank Alaska's Board of Directors will continue to monitor economic conditions and consider capital strategies designed to balance the needs to maintain strong capital and to deliver optimal returns for shareholders.
