Four banking experts advance to new roles

First National Bank Alaska’s Board of Directors announced four local experts have transitioned into new roles at the state’s largest locally owned community bank.

After successfully completing First National’s Management Associate program, Dunbar Anders was promoted to Loan Officer I and appointed Loan Officer. In his new role, Anders will focus on fostering business relationships in the Anchorage community, concentrating on commercial lending and construction loans. “I enjoy helping businesses develop,” Anders said. “It’s really rewarding to help my fellow Alaskans navigate and overcome challenges they experience while running their business.” He is a graduate of the University of Alaska Anchorage with a bachelor’s in economics and marketing.

Darin Floyd joined the bank’s award-winning team as Loan Officer III and was appointed Vice President. Raised in Wrangell, Floyd is a third-generation Alaskan, returning to the state after receiving his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Boise State University. He has over two decades of banking experience in a career that has taken him to Petersburg, Craig, Juneau and now Anchorage. “I’m proud to be a part of the Best Place to Work in Alaska,” said Floyd. “It means a lot to be a part of a team that is invested in the growth and success of their own community.”

Erica Skiff began her First National journey as a Teller at the Northern Lights Branch in 2015. She transferred to Treasury Management in 2017 and most recently was promoted to Treasury Management Sales Manager and appointed Assistant Vice President. “Helping Alaskans navigate their financial needs is the most rewarding aspect of my role,” Skiff said. “I’m proud to help lead an experienced Treasury Management team that is dedicated to helping Alaska business owners achieve their goals, no matter what challenges they may face.”

Former Assistant Vice President Tina Lynch was promoted to Mortgage Lending Operations Manager and appointed Vice President. Lynch earned her bachelor’s degree in management with a concentration in finance and a minor in adult education from Ottawa University. “I love working with first-time home buyers and seeing the satisfaction on their face when they realize their dreams are coming true,” she said.

Alaskan-owned and -operated since 1922, First National proudly meets the financial needs of Alaskans with ATMs and branches in 18 communities throughout the state, and by providing banking services to meet their needs across the nation and around the world.
