Biography
After nearly 10 years in banking and branch management, Thornton has honed her number one goal: to work hard every day for her customers and her community. “I love helping people maximize their assets and time, and I love to help my neighbors achieve their goals,” she says. “I am very proud and excited to work for a company with such a great reputation in the community.” Her dedication to her fellow Alaskans doesn’t stop with the bank: in her free time, she frequently volunteers in the Sitka community.
Thornton is currently a board member of the Sitka Legacy Foundation, the Center for Community, and the Brave Heart Volunteers. She has previously served as the president of the Sitka Rotary Club. Thornton has a master’s in public administration and is currently working towards obtaining her Ph.D.
