New business account alerts available

Business account users can now enroll in security and transaction alerts through Business Online Banking.

You have the option to receive notifications based on account balances, transactions, account status and more. These alerts can help detect potential fraud.

When enabling alerts, please verify that each user’s name, email address and phone number are up-to-date on the Employee Profile and Permissions page to ensure a seamless and secure banking experience.

First Time Set Up

To initiate the alerts service, the System Administrator must first grant themselves user permission. Then, they must follow the same steps for each employee to whom they are granting access.

NOTE: These alerts are currently only available through Business Online Banking, and not the FNBizApp.

System Administrator Enrollment Instructions

  1. Log in to Business Online banking at FNBAlaska.com as a System Administrator.
  2. Upon log in, click the Administration button on the navigation panel at the top of the screen.
  3. Search for a user and select Inquire Employee.
  4. Enter the employee’s name in the name field or the username in the username field, and then click Submit.
  5. All users who match the name you entered will appear in the Employee List area. Select the desired user.
  6. Click the Change icon (represented by a paper and pencil) in the top right corner of the employee record.
  7. Scroll down and click on Interface Specification to expand the panel.
  8. Click the first unoccupied row and select Alerts from the dropdown menu. Unoccupied rows will display None in the interface dropdown.
  9. Check the box that says Enables employee access to customer alerts for name, address and phone number changes for the Business. Leave the user code and password fields blank for now.
  10. Scroll to the top of the screen and click the Floppy Disc icon to save your changes.
  11. Once you save the changes, a message will appear confirming that the employee has been updated successfully.
  12. Log out of Business Online Banking.
  13. The next time the user logs in to Business Online Banking, they will be able to enroll in alerts and set up specific alerts.

User Enrollment Instructions

  1. Log in to Business Online Banking at FNBAlaska.com.
  2. The first time a user logs in after the System Administrator enables the alerts service, they will be prompted to enroll in alerts at the top of the screen. Click Enroll. If the user misses this prompt, they can still enroll by clicking Manage Alerts on the upper right side of the account dashboard.
  3. Add an email or phone number by clicking the Add email or Add phone number. Once you’ve entered your chosen contact method in the field, click Save.
  4. Once you have added a contact method, you will be required to activate it. Click Resend Code to send the activation code to your chosen phone number or email address.
  5. Enter the code you’ve received in the Activation Code field and click Activate. Once successful, Activated will be displayed in green text.
  6. After you’ve successfully activated alerts, you will have the option to set up Do Not Disturb to avoid receiving alerts at various times, i.e., in the middle of the night. Note: Business customers who do not activate the Do Not Disturb setting may receive multiple alerts in the middle of the night when First National runs its Data Operations reports. We highly recommend business customers turn on Do Not Disturb to avoid this.
  7. Click the Alert Options tab in the top navigation and select the category of alert you’d like to receive: Security, Balance, Transaction, Transfers, ATM/Debit Card and/or Other.
  8. Select the type of alerts you’d like to receive. A pop-up will appear to verify how you would like to receive the selected alert and for which account you’d like to receive it (if applicable).
  9. Select your preferred contact method and click Save.
  10. After receiving the Alert Subscription Saved message, click Close.
  11. You will now receive alerts via your selected method.
  12. See and manage your current active alerts by selecting the Overview tab.
