Contributions to Alaskans in second quarter bring bank’s total in first half of 2024 to more than $383K

First National Bank Alaska gave $180,566 in donations and sponsorships to Alaskans and their communities in the second quarter of 2024, bringing the total for the first half of the year to $383,999. This total includes charitable gifts, activity sponsorships, and community and business sponsorships provided statewide by the bank and its employees.

“First National has a strong commitment to the communities we serve and all of Alaska,” said First National Board Chair and CEO/President Betsy Lawer. “This commitment has long been a part of our mission and the bank’s culture. These contributions are just one way we can help shape a brighter future for all Alaskans.”

Alaska’s youth and education remain a focus of First National’s support. That was demonstrated by the bank’s donations to Alaska Rural Rehabilitation Corp. Warren N. Cuddy Scholarship, Homer Hockey Association, Prince William Sound College, Soldotna Little League, University of Alaska Anchorage, University of Alaska Fairbanks and the Valdez Little League.

Additional noteworthy contributions in second quarter 2024 included those to the Alaska Chamber, Anchorage Glacier Pilots, Bean’s Café, Catholic Social Service’s Clare House, Denali Chamber of Commerce Blueberry Festival, Fairbanks Goldpanners, Japan Alaska Association, Juneau Economic Development Council, Martin Luther King, Jr. Foundation, Palmer Chamber of Commerce Colony Days, Peninsula Oilers, and Resource Development Council.
