Contributions to Alaskans in third quarter bring total to more than $450K in 2025

First National Bank Alaska gave $132,714 in donations and sponsorships to Alaskans and their communities during the third quarter of 2025, bringing the total for the first three quarters of the year to $458,553. This total includes charitable gifts, activity sponsorships, and community and business sponsorships distributed statewide by the bank and its employees.

“First National is proud to support the diverse communities and organizations that make Alaska a vibrant place to work and live,” said First National Chair and CEO/President Betsy Lawer. “More than a century of experience has shown us the bank’s success is rooted in the well-being of the communities and Alaskans we serve – when they thrive, so do we.” 

First National continued its longstanding support of AK Child and Family, Alaska Sports Hall of Fame, Anchorage Mayor’s Charity Ball, Bean’s Café, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Alaska, Kenai Peninsula Food Bank, Soldotna Chamber of Commerce, thread, and Valdez Public Radio – KCHU.

Other noteworthy contributions supported the Alaska Historical Society, Alaska Writers Guild, Anchorage Coalition to End Homelessness, Chugiak/Eagle River’s Harry J. McDonald Memorial Center, Commonwealth North, Fairbanks Ice Dogs, Healing Hand Foundation, Kenai Chamber Solstice Run, Salamatof Foundation, Sitkans Against Family Violence and UAF Nanooks Athletics.

In 2025, American Banker recognized First National as a “Best Bank to Work For” for the eighth year in a row.
