Fraudsters are targeting Alaska businesses by calling and texting to “verify” ACH transactions. They are impersonating First National employees and sending links to a fake First National website by spoofing the bank’s phone numbers, 907-777-4362 and 800-856-4362, and other numbers associated with the bank.
Stay vigilant – never share sensitive information, such as a bank password, PIN, or one-time login codes, with anyone who calls or texts. First National will NEVER text or call asking for account information or request that you complete a transaction. Banks may need to verify personal information if a customer initiates the call, but never the other way around.
