Dear First National employees,

We believe that when people thrive, anything is possible. Our belief in Alaskans is one of the many reasons First National supports United Way in building stronger communities where everyone can access a quality education, build economic mobility and live a healthy life.

Our bank’s long-standing partnership with United Way began when my grandmother, Lucy Hon Cuddy, played a pivotal role in founding of the United Way in Alaska and served as the Campaign Chair of the first community drive in 1956. Throughout the last 70 years, our organizations have partnered to help address complex community issues like homelessness, education gaps and access to health care. Together, we’re making a difference in thousands of peoples’ lives.

We’re pleased to continue the tradition with our 2025 United Way employee giving campaign with an e-pledge system that’s easy and convenient to use. You may choose to direct your donation to your local United Way or another nonprofit of your choosing.

Help us reach our goal to raise $100,000 in employee donations by June 30. All payroll pledges and employee donations received during the annual campaign are eligible for a match and corporate donation from the bank.

I encourage you to learn more about the vital community impact achieved through the bank’s United Way campaign on Today’s Teller or by visiting your local United Way website. For 103 years, First National has helped Alaskans succeed. I hope you’ll join me in supporting United Way to shape a brighter tomorrow for all Alaskans.
