First National Bank Alaska contributes more than $302K to Alaskans in the first quarter of 2026

ANCHORAGE, AK – First National Bank Alaska gave $302,851 in donations and sponsorships to Alaskans and their communities during the first quarter of 2026. This total includes charitable gifts, activity sponsorships, and community and business sponsorships distributed statewide by the bank and its employees.

“These contributions reflect the many ways organizations across Alaska are serving their communities,” said Board Chair and CEO/President Betsy Lawer. “We value the role these organizations play and are pleased to contribute to their ongoing work, helping shape a brighter tomorrow for all Alaskans.”

First National’s support continued to focus on organizations and programs that improve quality of life across Alaska, particularly in the areas of health, youth development, education, civic engagement and the arts. Alongside additional community investment opportunities through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines Member Impact Fund, these contributions helped expand support for nonprofit organizations and local initiatives throughout the state.

Noteworthy contributions during the quarter included investments in the Alaska School Activities Association, American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women, Covenant House Alaska, Juneau School District, Martin Luther King Jr. Foundation, United Way of Anchorage and YMCA of Alaska.

In 2025, Alaska Business readers voted First National “Best of Alaska Business” in the Best Place to Work category for the 10th year in a row, Best Bank/Credit Union for the fifth time, and Best Customer Service for the second year in a row. In 2025, American Banker recognized First National as a “Best Bank to Work For” for the eighth year in a row. The bank was also voted “Best of Alaska” in the Anchorage Daily News awards, ranking as one of the top three in the Bank/Financial category for the seventh consecutive year.
