Fraudsters are calling and texting Alaskans, impersonating First National employees and pretending to verify suspicious activity on their accounts. They are spoofing our Contact Center phone number 907-777-4362. During the calls, scammers ask customers to verify their account information.
Scammers are getting more sophisticated, but so are we. Here’s an important message from First National Bank Alaska’s Board Chair and CEO/President on how you can stop fraudsters and stay vigilant.
Remember, First National will NEVER text or call asking for account information. Banks may need to verify personal information if a customer initiates the call, but never the other way around. If you encounter any impersonation attempts, receive suspicious emails or text messages, or suspect fraud on your First National account, immediately contact your local branch or call 907–777-4362 or 800-856-4362.
