Criminals are targeting Alaska businesses by calling and texting to fraudulently “verify” ACH transactions. They are impersonating First National employees by spoofing the bank’s phone numbers, 907-777-4362 and 800-856-4362, and other caller IDs associated with the bank and sending links to collect funds.
Stay vigilant – never share sensitive information, such as an account password, PIN, or one-time login codes, with anyone who calls or texts. First National will NEVER text or call you to ask for account information or request that you click on a link to complete a transaction. Banks may need to verify personal information if a customer initiates the call, but never the other way around.
