First National Bank Alaska opens new Loan Production Office in Ketchikan

First National Bank Alaska, the state’s largest locally owned community bank has announced the opening of its first dedicated Loan Production Office (LPO) in Ketchikan, located at 1621 Tongass Avenue, West Flight Bldg., Suite 100.

The LPO will provide customers the opportunity to originate and apply for personal and commercial loans locally. In addition to Ketchikan, the LPO will also meet the lending needs of Alaskans in southern Southeast Alaska.

“Over the past 100 years, the bank has dedicated itself to supporting Alaska communities and meeting the financial needs of Alaskans,” said Board Chair and CEO Betsy Lawer. “Opening our new LPO in Ketchikan will provide Southeast residents access to loan experts and lending support right where they live and work.”

First National’s new office will be managed by Vice President and Loan Officer Steve Boehlert, a 31-year Ketchikan resident with more than 17 years of local banking experience.

“If I could tell our customers one thing, it’s this: your community is my community.” Boehlert said. “First National’s new loan production office allows us to have employees on the ground in southern Southeast Alaska to better meet the lending needs of fellow Alaskans.”

Originally hailing from Texas, Boehlert has spent the past three decades in Alaska working in accounting and finance. He graduated from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. Boehlert currently serves as Treasurer on the Ketchikan Rotary 2000 Club, and is a member of the Salvation Army Advisory Board.
