Transfers Overview (Business)

Business transfers will continue to support eligible internal account to account transfer functionality within digital banking. We are also adding the ability for businesses to transfer funds to other First National customer accounts.

Key changes

Business transfer options will be accessed through updated digital banking transfer workflows.

Internal transfer workflows will use updated navigation and screens.

Customers can now add a description to the transfers.

Customers can transfer to other customer’s First National accounts. This feature is called “Unlinked Account Transfers.”

Transfer templates will be available through entitlements to all businesses with no backroom set up required. Permissions for other users can be more restrictive.

Transfer approvals can be set both at the user level and at the template level.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • Can I approve Dual Custody requests from the mobile app?

    No, Dual Custody approvals are available only through the desktop version of the Business Digital Banking and are not supported in the mobile application.

  • Why does my scheduled transfer show a different date than it did before?

    The new digital banking platform displays transfers on their actual scheduled processing date instead of the next business day. This is a display change only and does not affect when your transfer is processed.

  • Will business bill pay be integrated?

    Yes.

  • Will my templates transfer to the new system?

    Transfer templates will not transfer and must be recreated in the new platform. Some businesses may only be able to create template-based transfers.
