Bank donates more than $10,000 to Junior Achievement

First National Bank Alaska donated $10,350 to Junior Achievement (JA) of Alaska in June, continuing their long-standing support of the organization.

The support will help support JA programs throughout the state, including those in the communities of Bethel, Cordova, Eagle River, Fairbanks, Homer, Juneau, Kenai, Kodiak, the Mat-Su Valley, Seward, Sitka, Soldotna and Valdez. The money will also be used to fund Anchorage programs and to sponsor JAs annual golf tournament fundraiser and the Hall of Fame dinner, honoring Alaska business leaders.

First National has supported JA for decades in its mission to be a bridge between the education system and business, teaching young people in grades K-12 the workings of the free enterprise system. The programs are funded by individuals and businesses and presented in classrooms across Alaska by volunteers.

Established in 1922, First National is Alaskas largest Alaskan-owned and operated bank, with ATMs and 29 branches in 17 communities throughout Alaska.
