Bank Web Site Wins National Recognition

First National Bank Alaska received national recognition this week for its web site, www.FNBAlaska.com, from the American Bankers Association. The Alaska-based bank was the only financial institution in the state to earn recognition from the national industry association for its marketing efforts.

Our goal is to offer Alaskans an easy-to-use, attractive and secure Internet banking tool that helps them get the information and the services they need to succeed, said the banks chief operating officer Betsy Lawer.

The industry competition recognized marketing innovation and creative excellence in the financial services industry nationwide. A panel of financial services marketing and advertising professionals judged the entries based on originality of creative concept, execution of production
and fulfillment of stated objective.

A total of 45 winners were selected from 340 entries of advertisements and promotional materials produced during 2001. First National Bank Alaskas web site received a certificate of excellence in the online category for financial institutions in its asset category ($1 billion to
$5 billion).
