Banking experts take new roles

First National Bank Alaska and its Board of Directors recently hired two banking experts and promoted two others knowledgeable in all aspects of the financial industry.

Taka Tsukada is First National’s newest Vice President. The bank appointed Tsukada its Cash Management & Anchorage Branch Administration Manager. He’ll help oversee the Anchorage area’s 10 branches as well as sales and support of the Cash Management Unit.

Tsukada brings more than 23 years of banking experience to First National and its customers. He’s been in Alaska since 1971.

“I’m truly a community banker,” Tsukada said. “It’s my job to apply all I’ve learned from my experiences to give our branch customers the kind of experience they deserve and expect from First National.”

Stacy Sereyko owns more than 14 years of mortgage lending experience. The bank welcomed her aboard as a Senior Mortgage Underwriter and appointed her Loan Officer.

“Mortgage lending offers a fair share of structure and straight forwardness when it comes to getting people into their dream homes,” Sereyko said. “I certainly expect my years of experience to benefit all our customers.”

After spending most of the last year managing the North Star Branch on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Joe Steger was promoted to Branch Manager of the Muldoon Branch in East Anchorage. Steger was born and reared in Alaska. His banking career began more than 15 years ago.

“I learned a lot in my time at North Star, working with the branch’s customers and its excellent staff,” Steger said. “I look forward to helping Muldoon Branch customers enjoy the benefits of positive banking experiences.”

The bank promoted Janice Campbell to Branch Manager and appointed her to take charge of the North Star Branch.

Campbell has spent more than nine years honing her banking skills. At North Star, she’ll be responsible for branch operations and building customer relationships.

“First National is a locally-owned bank and we strive to bring a personal touch to our every interaction,” Campbell said. “I’ll do my best to make sure each customer who walks into the North Star Branch gets everything they need.”

Alaskan-owned and operated since 1922, First National proudly meets the financial needs of Alaskans with ATMs and branches in 18 communities throughout the state.
