Board of Directors appoints new loan officers

First National Bank Alaskas Board of Directors recently appointed two new loan officers.

Melissa Reiser was hired March 31 and appointed Vice President and Loan Officer with the Corporate Lending Division. Reiser grew up in both Anchorage and Fairbanks. She holds a bachelors degree in finance from Troy State University. Reiser has more than 15 years of experience in the banking industry. She has spent 10 years as a commercial lender, including three in Fairbanks. Her lending specialties included construction, real estate and land development.


Vice President and Legal Counsel Michael Martin will transfer from his position in the Legal Section to Loan Officer in the Corporate Lending Division, effective May 1. Martin holds a bachelors degree in American Politics and Art from Juanita College. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Ohio Northern University, Pettit College of Law. Martin first began working as the banks legal counsel in 1998. He also spent a period at a private law firm where he represented banks in various matters. Martin is a member of the Alaska Bar Association.
