First National bankers take on new responsibilities

First National Bank Alaska’s Board of Directors recently appointed two new Loan Officers. The bank also announced the arrival of a new Mortgage Loan Originator and a transition resulting in a new Branch Manager at the Main Branch in downtown Anchorage.

Mortgage Loan Originators Ryane Brougham and Amanda Herndon were appointed Loan Officers. Both bankers will continue to focus on meeting customers’ mortgage loan needs.

Brougham works at the bank’s Wasilla Branch and offers more than 13 years of banking experience to his customers.

“I’ve always been driven to do what’s best for our customers,” Brougham said. “Today, that means staying on top of the latest trends in mortgage lending and sharing that information in a concise, helpful way.”

Herndon has lived in Homer almost her entire life and specializes in Kenai Peninsula mortgage lending. She joined First National’s team in 2011 and works out of the Homer Branch.

“My customers can come to me with confidence,” Herndon said. “Offering customers peace of mind and empowering them to make the best decisions for their families is one of the greatest parts of my job.”

Jeremy Gogain is the bank’s newest Mortgage Loan Originator. He’s worked in banking for more than six years and will concentrate on recommending the best mortgage loan options for his customers.

“I enjoy making sure our customers’ mortgage experience is simple and enjoyable,” Gogain said. “Providing fast, local decisions to customers is very rewarding.”

Kara Blake is now overseeing the Main Branch as its Branch Manager. She is responsible for business development, consumer loans, branch operations and customer service.

“The most important responsibility as a Branch Manager is to display great leadership,” said Blake, who joined First National almost 13 years ago. “My goal is to provide an exceptional branch experience for our customers by mentoring and coaching the team to be its best.”
