First National gives $2,500 to Dental Society's Mission of Mercy

First National Bank Alaska has donated $2,500 to the Alaska Dental Society's Mission of Mercy (MOM), an event designed to provide free dental care to Alaskans who could not otherwise afford or receive care.

This year’s MOM is the third in Alaska. Over the last two years, more than 1,800 dentists, staff and other volunteers have provided $2 million dollars of care to 2,475 patients in Anchorage and Fairbanks.

The event, held April 28-29 at the Dena’ina Center in Anchorage, provides free dental care with a priority on patients suffering from dental infections or pain. In addition, MOM is designed to raise public awareness of the increasing difficulty low-income adults and children face in accessing critical dental care.

Alaskan-owned and operated since 1922, First National proudly meets the financial needs of Alaskans with ATMs and 30 branches in 18 communities throughout the state. Visit FNBAlaska.com for more information about Alaska's largest locally-owned bank and access to efficient and secure online banking services.
