First National professionals earn new positions
Three First National Bank Alaska banking experts knowledgeable in human resources, cash management and much more are taking on new responsibilities after the bank’s Board of Directors recently announced their appointments and promotions.
The bank appointed Lauren Caraghar to the position of Human Resources Officer.
Caraghar is part of the team responsible for recruiting, hiring and welcoming candidates for a wide range of bank positions. She joined First National in 2013.
“The bank believes in Alaska and Alaskans,” Caraghar said. “My job is to help achieve our goals by recruiting talented employees who share in those beliefs.”
First National promoted long-time banking expert Diana Morlan to Cash Management Manager. Having worked the last 15 years at the bank, Morlan will continue to lend her expertise to business customers. She will also be responsible for training and developing the bank’s cash management professionals.
“My longevity speaks to the way First National treats its employees and its customers,” Morlan said. “Making sure our business customers have everything they need to succeed is not only motivating, but rewarding for me each and every day.”
Teresa Powell will lean on her 25-plus years of banking experience after being appointed the bank’s newest Senior Business Development Officer. She works closely with business customers from all over the state, and specializes in helping medical professionals.
“It is important to have a good relationship with my customers so they can trust that I have a good understanding of their business needs,” Powell said. “When it comes to helping Alaska businesses increase cash flow, it’s my job to find the best tools for each business.”
