First National three-peats in Best of Alaska Business Awards

For the third year running, readers of Alaska Business magazine have chosen First National Bank Alaska as the Best Place to Work in the publication’s annual Best of Alaska Business (BOAB) Awards. The bank was also voted Best Corporate Citizen for the second year in a row

“First National is again honored and humbled by this show of support from our fellow Alaskans,” said Chair and CEO Betsy Lawer. “And it’s all about our employees. Each year we strive to be a little bit better, to improve the ways we can help Alaskans, their businesses, and our communities succeed.

“This continued vote of confidence just reaffirms our commitment, and shows one reason why we believe in Alaska – because you believe in us.”

“Congratulations, First National, on your third year as Best Place to Work,” said Jason Martin, Alaska Business vice president and general manager.  “Your long history in Alaska and continued commitment to our communities makes you a great example of what it means to be the Best of Alaska Business.”

Alaskan-owned and -operated since 1922, First National proudly meets the financial needs of Alaskans with ATMs and branches in 18 communities throughout the state. In 2017, Alaska Business Monthly readers voted the bank the “Best of Alaska Business” in five categories, including the Best Place to Work for the second year in a row and best Customer Service, Corporate Citizen, Family-Owned Business and Alaska Ad Campaign. In January 2018, MSN.com named First National the most-admired company in the state.
