FNB earns top marks

Two of Americas most respected bank ratings firms recently awarded First National Bank their highest respective ratings for financial strength and security.

For the 16th consecutive quarter, Weiss Ratings, Inc., gave First National an A+ rating, the highest possible grade in the firms ratings system.
In our opinion, this institution offers excellent financial security, noted
the Weiss report. We believe that this institution has the resources necessary to deal with severe economic conditions.

In a separate but parallel development, well known bank ratings firm Bauer Financial, Inc., awarded First National Bank its 5-star rating for superior strength, safety and performance. It represents the 53rd consecutive time First National has earned this distinction, the longest such streak of any Alaska bank.

First National Bank Alaska is an outstanding community bank, said Bauer president Karen L. Dorway, who noted that the 5-star rating is currently carried by only 18% of the nations banks.

Established in 1922, First National is Alaskas largest Alaskan-owned and
operated bank, with 27 branches throughout Alaska and ATMs in 17 rural
communities.
