FNB Receives 51st Straight 5-Star Rating

Alaskas largest locally-owned bank recently received another five-star rating from Bauer Financial Reports, Inc., Americas leading bank analyst.

First National Bank Alaska has now received the five-star rating, denoting the highest level of fiscal strength and performance, for 51 consecutive quarters, the longest such streak of any Alaska bank. It is also the only bank in Alaska with an A+ grade from Weiss Ratings, Inc., and a perfect 300 rating from IDC Financial Publishing, Inc.

The five-star rating is shared by only 15 percent of the nations banks, according to Paul A. Bauer, president of the research firm.

Operating with this same diligence in good times as in bad, First National Bank represents the very best in community banking, said Karen L. Dorway, Bauers vice president and director of research.

Established in 1922, First National is Alaskas largest Alaskan-owned and
operated bank, with 27 branches throughout Alaska and ATMs in 17 rural communities.
