Former UAF goalie Bartusch joins bank's team

A University of Alaska Fairbanks graduate, Keith Bartusch was recently hired as a Loan Officer and appointed Vice President by First National Bank Alaska's Board of Directors.

Bartusch will work out of the bank's Johansen Branch.

"Fairbanks is a town full of compassionate people who are always willing to help out a neighbor," Bartusch said. "I'm very lucky to be part of the community and to now help it meet its financial needs as part of the storied tradition at First National."

Bartusch brings seven years of commercial lending experience to the bank. He earned a business degree from UAF, where he played goaltender for the NCAA Division I Nanooks from 2001-2005. He remains passionate about hockey and is currently the head coach at Fairbanks' Hutchison High School.

"When it comes to banking, the best way to work with customers is to learn as much as you can about their situation, their ideas and future ideas," Bartusch said. "Learning, understanding, believing and sharing knowledge and expertise when needed should give customers the best possible experience during the loan process."

Alaskan-owned and operated since 1922, First National proudly meets the financial needs of Alaskans with ATMs and 30 branches in 18 communities throughout the state.
