Fraud prevention expert holds seminar

First National Bank Alaskas Valdez Branch will host a fraud prevention seminar April 18.

The seminar runs from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Training Room at Prince William Sound Community College. It is free to the public.

Security Officer Don Krohn will discuss ways to combat identity theft, embezzlement, credit card fraud and check fraud.

Krohn has a background in law enforcement, having worked for the Anchorage Police Department, U.S. Customs Service and the U.S. Air Force.

During Krohns first two years at First National beginning in 2002, the banks fraud losses were reduced by more than 75 percent.
