Free business resource hits the streets

First National Bank Alaska has teamed up with the Alaska Journal of Commerce and the Alaska Small Business Development Center to produce the eighth annual Alaska Small Business Resource Guide, which is being distributed for free.

The 48-page glossy guide includes business success stories, lists of resources and details of obstacles small-business owners should watch for along the way. This years guide focuses on milestones of longevity that businesses will reach as they grow.

Whether it is a profile of a 20-year-old fiberglass company or a two-year-old sushi bar, every small business featured in the guide is unique. The challenges they have faced on their way to success provide great insight for those just starting out.

Without question, small businesses are essential to Alaskas economy, said First National Bank President and Chairman D.H. Cuddy. Each of the profiled businesses is owned by enterprising Alaskans helping out and receiving help from hardworking Alaskans.

The guide is available at all First National branches.

Established in 1922, First National is Alaskas largest locally owned and operated bank, with ATMs and 29 branches in 17 communities throughout Alaska.
