Full day of events at new Healy Branch Grand Opening

The new First National Bank Alaska branch in Healy, the only bank in town, will be busy on April 16 when it celebrates its opening at the Tri-Valley Community Center.

A fraud awareness seminar for business will take place from 9 a.m. until noon. One of the states leading experts on fraud prevention, First National Security Officer Don Krohn, will offer techniques of how businesses can reduce fraud risk.

From noon to 2 p.m., an open house will be held to celebrate the banks opening and give local residents a chance to meet Branch Manager Teri Simmons. A grand prize drawing will be held for 110 gallons of gas, along with other prizes.

At 2:30 p.m., Home Loan Originator Shirlene Wells will give an hour-long presentation on home loan options and programs for rural Alaskans.

Established in 1922, First National is Alaskas largest Alaskan-owned and operated bank, with ATMs and 30 branches in 18 communities throughout Alaska. More information about First National is available at www.FNBAlaska.com
