Gingerbread houses on display at Eagle River Branch

Gingerbread houses are on display as part of a joint holiday celebration of the Chugiak-Eagle River Chamber of Commerce and First National Bank Alaska at the Eagle River Branch.

Each year community members build and decorate gingerbread houses for display and judging. Awards are given out for the top three places in three categories.

Twelve houses were decorated and submitted Friday as part of the annual contest, sponsored by First National and the Chugiak-Eagle River Chamber of Commerce.

The gingerbread houses will remain on display in the branch lobby through Dec. 10.

Established in 1922, First National is Alaskas largest locally owned and operated bank, with ATMs and 28 branches in 16 communities throughout Alaska.
