Griffin takes reins as bank's Chief Information Officer

Phil Griffin was recently appointed First National Bank Alaska's Chief Information Officer by the bank's Board of Directors.

Griffin is responsible for the bank's information technology strategic planning and security, core and item processing systems, network services, software solutions and support, online banking and business continuity planning.

"First National is filled with seasoned banking professionals who are dedicated to serving Alaskans," Griffin said. "It's an honor and privilege to be part of this marvelous team."

Griffin's banking career began four decades ago after graduating from the University of Nebraska with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He arrived in Alaska after holding CIO positions in California and Nevada.

"The face of technology is advancing and changing," Griffin said. "I'm eager to do my part to help First National's customers recognize these changes and reach their individual goals."
