Johnson recognized by Juneau Chamber of Commerce

Southeast Alaska Regional Manager Lloyd Johnson recently received a Juneau Chamber of Commerce Lifetime Achievement Award for his leadership and contributions in the community.

Johnson joined First National Bank Alaska in 1990, working in both Fairbanks and Kenai before transferring to Juneau in 1998. He was named Southeast Alaska Regional Manager in 2006.

Juneau Chamber of Commerce CEO Cathie Roemmich said the Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes significant service to those in the capital city and the surrounding area.

"(Johnson) has been a leader in many organizations," said nominators Denny DeWitt and Steve Allwine, both of Juneau. "But his more important quality is that he is just a guy who goes and gets stuff that needs to be done, done.

"Most folks talk about giving neighbors the shirt off their backs. Lloyd is among the few that do."

Besides his work at First National, Johnson is active in the Chamber of Commerce at both the local and state level, Rotary International and as a youth basketball coach and referee.

"I'm not one to pat myself on the back or pound my chest," Johnson said. "But I'm honored."
