Palmer Branch undergoes renovation

A few months from now, customers who regularly visit First National Bank Alaska's Palmer Branch will do so in remodeled style after an on-going renovation project is complete.

The renovation of the branch, located at 303 W. Evergreen Avenue, includes a new teller line, new counters, carpet and paint. The project will also add 500 square feet to the Loan Department, three additional offices and a conference room.

"For nearly 90 years, First National has committed itself to giving its customers the best of everything," Palmer Branch Manager Sue Welton said. "From banking knowledge to beautiful branches filled with friendly people offering the best customer service, this renovation project adds value to the service we offer Alaskans."

Keeping in its tradition of turning to local expertise, the bank hired Palmer's Wolf Architecture and F-E Contracting, Inc. to handle the renovations.

The branch lobby is scheduled to be closed Saturday, July 9 and Saturday, August 6 to allow for the renovations to be finished. The drive-up windows will remain open those days from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Established in 1922, First National is Alaska?s largest Alaskan-owned and operated bank, with ATMs and 30 branches in 18 communities throughout Alaska. More information about First National is available at FNBAlaska.com.
