Schuh takes reigns as Chief Financial Officer

A third-generation banker and long-time Alaskan, Michele Schuh is First National Bank Alaska's new Chief Financial Officer.

The bank's Board of Directors recently promoted Schuh to the position and also appointed her Senior Vice President.

"It's an honor, but one that comes with much responsibility," Schuh said. "The beneficiaries of our success are customers, employees, shareholders and all the state-wide organizations we impact.

"Our bank strives to provide Alaskans with great financial services and outstanding customer connection. I join a leadership team committed to ensuring First National's storied tradition continues to grow and thrive."

Schuh joined First National 10 years ago and now owns more than 25 years of finance and accounting experience in Alaska and Oregon. She held a Certified Public Accountant license in Oregon and maintains membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Schuh is a graduate of Anchorage's Dimond High School, the University of Washington and the Pacific Coast Banking School.

In 2011, Schuh was inducted into the Anchorage ATHENA Society, which celebrates professional excellence, commitment to community and encouragement of women's leadership.
