Sullivan brings vast Southeast Alaska knowledge to First National

A fixture in Southeast Alaska for more than 30 years, Tom Sullivan was recently appointed Vice President and named Regional Branch Manager for Cordova, Haines, Juneau and Sitka by First National Bank Alaska’s Board of Directors.

Sullivan is based out of the downtown Juneau Regional Branch. He is responsible for lending activities, business and community development, bank outreach and branch operations.

“Tom knows Southeast Alaska well, especially the challenges and opportunities involved in doing business in the area,” First National Senior Vice President and Branch Lending Administrator Charlie Weimer said. “He knows the value of relationship banking, and what it means to be a community banker.”

Sullivan has been helping Southeast Alaska customers find unique financial solutions to meet their needs since 1986. Originally from Iowa, he graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Business Administration. Tom has three adult children and is expecting his first grandchild later this year. His hobbies include trapshooting, hiking and other outdoor activities.

“Two of my primary missions and things I like most about my work are helping grow local economies and fostering economic development,” Sullivan said. “I’ve raised a family in Southeast and love the genuine small-town feel of the region.

“I’m proud to call the area my home and thrilled to be part of First National’s long history and bright future.”

Alaskan-owned and operated since 1922, First National proudly meets the financial needs of Alaskans with ATMs and branches in 18 communities throughout the state.
