Taylor welcomed to Board of Directors

Alaska Regional Hospital Chief Executive Officer Julie Taylor, a longtime management and medical professional, has joined First National Bank Alaska’s Board of Directors, the bank recently announced.

Taylor arrived at Alaska Regional in December 2013. Before then, she was the Chief Executive Officer of West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell, Idaho. Prior to that, Taylor was the Chief Operating Officer at The Medical Center of Aurora in Denver, Colo. Taylor has held a number of leadership positions, including Director of Case Management and Admissions, Interim Vice President of Human Resources, Associate Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Operating Officer.

“With the rapid growth of the healthcare industry in both the state and our country, Julie’s expertise is invaluable,” First National Chair and Chief Executive Officer Betsy Lawer said. “Her years of leadership and business knowledge will bring another respected viewpoint to the bank as we work alongside our customers to help them succeed.”

Taylor is joining Lawer, Vice Chair Lucy Mahan, First National Bank Alaska President Doug Longacre, Adm. Tom Barrett, USCG (ret.), Perry Eaton, Margy Johnson, Jane Klopfer, Loren H. Lounsbury and Tom Tougas on the Board.

All the Directors were either elected or reelected to their Board positions during the bank’s annual shareholder meeting on April 24, 2018. Action was also taken to reelect Lawer as Chair, Mahan as Vice Chair and Eaton as Lead Director.
