Trio of bankers take on new leadership roles

Three First National Bank Alaska banking experts were recently promoted and given added responsibilities by the Board of Directors.

Chris Longacre was named Vice President. Anchorage Lending Unit Team Leaders Chad Steadman and Stacy Tomuro were named Regional Unit Managers.

Longacre is a lifelong Alaskan and an avid mountain climber who has reached the summit of the highest peak on each of all seven continents. He joined the First National team in 2005 and has helped his customers get to new financial heights ever since.

“My belief in Alaskans and helping grow their businesses has only strengthened through the years,” Longacre said.

As a Vice President, Longacre will continue to foster new business relationships and make sound loans to existing customers.

Loan Officers Steadman and Tomuro now manage Anchorage-based lending teams. Their increased leadership roles include more involvement assisting the bank’s senior lenders and management team.

“While we continue to manage our teams and help our customers, we’ll also lend our expertise to others around the bank,” Steadman said.

Steadman holds a degree from Utah State University in finance with minors in financial planning and economics. He has a diploma from the Graduate School of Banking at LSU and was commercial banker of the year for his organization in 2008. He was raised in Soldotna and lives in Anchorage with his wife and four children.

Tomuro was one of the 229 banking professionals from 31 states to graduate from the prestigious Pacific Coast Banking School in 2015. A West Anchorage High School graduate who first called Alaska home in 1977, he began working in the financial industry nearly 30 years ago and joined First National in 2001.

“Chad and I will collaborate on special projects for the senior loan committee,” Tomuro said. “It’s an amazing responsibility. But it’s also nice to be rewarded and recognized for what we have to offer the bank and its customers.”
